"I have a very difficult prescription, diabetic, astigmatism, and two very different needs. Eyesight as a Machinist, "CNC" Tool & Die maker, reading thousands of an inch on micrometers, and, eyesight for my pilot's license to be retained and without question 20/20. Combining these two activities,and their different levels and qualifications, is not an easy task for my eye/vision Doctor. Factor in enormous astigmatism, on top of all I mentioned, and it's very complicated and time-consuming. In my experience,with said complications, I would all too often have to accept the fact that one characteristic of my corrected lenses would benefit only one of my diverse needs. For years, I have had two sets of eye wear, depending on the task at hand. In my most recent exam at Trepke Vision Care, my expectations, level of service, backed by one of the most extensive eye wear selection, was astonishing. For years I was told, " I had special eyes,which would require two sets of glasses" to meet my requirements. Trepke Vision Centers, proved that statement to be false. What I needed was a level of knowledge and professional care, that cannot be found at a franchise vision center, Lens Crafters, Pearl Vision, or the like. My only regret is, that I had not researched enough to find out the different levels of care and quality that smaller practices have, verses nationwide franchises. My experience was most enlightening. Trepke took all the time required, with very experienced Doctors who actually care how well their skills will benefit each customer. To top it off, they are very competitively priced, with extensive selections of designer frames and well-known manufacturers, all with experienced advice to allow you to feel confident in all your decisions. He said he would meet at his office and completed a full eye exam.It was nothing serious, but it gave me a peace of mind and saved me a trip to the ER to wait many hours, with expensive test, and probably to advise me to follow up with my eye doctor!
